CNN’s Van Jones claimed that President Trump doesn’t have the right to ‘lecture an African American’ in a recent interview. He was commenting on the President’s latest spat with rapper Jay Z. Jay-Z called President Trump a racist and Trump responded by pointing out that his policies have led to the lowest rate of unemployment of African Americans of all time.
“Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!” tweeted President Trump. Van Jone’s man problem with Trump’s tweet is that Jay Z is black, and apparently Trump isn’t allowed to tell a black person that he has been helping black people.
“It’s great PR for the show, it’s bad for the country when you have a president who wants to lecture an African-American rapper, an African-American pundit about African-American issues with bad facts and no information about the show. Just because we are continuing incremental progress, that doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful,” said Van Jones.
“Jay-Z is setting a much better example for America than Donald Trump,” claimed Jones.
