Republican’ Senator Lindsey Graham, who was recently sidelined by the White House from talks on DACA, attacked President Trump for maybe thinking about firing Mueller. Even though Trump didn’t fire Mueller, that’s not enough for Graham.
“I believe it’s something that Mueller should look at. We’re not just going to say it’s fake news and move on. Mueller is the best person to look at it. We know that he did not fire Mr. Mueller. We know if he tried to, it would be the end of his presidency. At the end of the day, let Mr. Mueller do his job and see if we can fix a broken immigration system,” said Graham in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.”
Graham recently came under fire for attacking White House Advisor Stephen Miller. “As long as Stephen Miller is in charge of negotiating immigration, we are going nowhere. He has been an outlier for years. There’s a deal to be had,” said Graham.
“As long as Sen. Graham chooses to support legislation that sides with people in this country illegally and unlawfully instead of our own American citizens, we’re going nowhere,” responded White House spokesperson Hogan Gidley.
